Use Twitter to boost sales and leads!

The latest and greatest social networking tool is Twitter. Twitter.com is basically a microblogging site, so it's just like a regular blog except you can only make small posts of only 140 characters. You might be wondering at this point... "How can posting 140 words at a time benefit my company?" In short.... it does. I'll explain the benefits in detail as I go on.

There's many ways to use twitter effectively, the main one is to follow a whole heap of people who you think might be interested in what you have to offer, then wait... they will follow you back, you delete the ones that didn't and then repeat the process. After doing this a few times you can start communicating with them. Twitter calls each single post a "Tweet" so you should start tweeting relevant information and links to pages that your followers will find useful. Don't advertise your own products all the time otherwise people will get sick of it and 'unfollow' you.

A fast way to follow and unfollow bulk amounts of people is using FlashTweet, it's pretty easy to use and again if you have any questions, just ask. You can use this to follow up to 100 people at a time, you just enter the name of another user or business that has the customers you want to target and then it will bring up a list of 100 at a time. Select all and then click follow. It takes about 20 - 30 seconds to follow them, then move onto the next list. You can follow 1 or 2 thousand at a time. Wait for 3 or 4 days then come back to FlashTweet and unfollow the ones that aren't following you.
